Foothold. Oil on canvas. 24x30. SOLD

I had the opportunity to customize this painting's core colors, to match the paint, of the space it hangs now. Of course, everyone will see what they want to see in this image. Sometimes, after i finish and stepped back, I find meaning in my work, that I didn't intentionally paint. Boundaries are never a solid, impenetrable wall.  We might not see the foothold, until we close-in on it, and the foothold might not be available, before we need it.

Design Build Interiors Logo

Design Build Interiors wanted something that was simple, straight forward, and recognizable to represent their business.  You just can't go wrong with certain bold colors and shapes. Blue for business and the house shape to make sure, people know what Design Build Interiors is all about.

Odd Jobz Logos

I just finished these logos for a small contracting business in Tennessee.  The owner Scott gave me complete
freedom with the designs.  He plans to make shirts, so you will be seeing me wear them.

15x20 Paul & Roxann: American Gothic SOLD

I had a chance to create this for my Uncle Paul and Aunt Roxann. There are some elements from their lives in the Illustration. In place of the pitch fork, Paul is holding his guitar and Roxann presents her killer lemon pie. Featured in the background is their first home and one of their classic cars in the driveway.

Ventriloquist Dummy Revenge. 20in print. $20

The idea was that a hellish Ventriloquist spends his time using and abusing his Dummy. The Dummy dreams of vengeance through the mirror image.

A Tension. 24x30in framed. $200

I wanted to pick an important subject for my Artprize entry, so I decided on the process of aging and dying. There are various forms of symbolism in the painting, some obvious and some more hidden. The woman symbolizes the body's deterioration process as her flesh begins to float away. The children represent how we pay attention to getting older. As the youngest, the girl just wants to play and doesn't notice or realize the aging process. She represents the (#1) on the toy block. The boy, a little older, looks up to the woman and notices her age and importance to his life (#2). The book shelves are a symbol of knowledge and growth throughout our lives, while they continue into the cityscape above. The floor is comprised of spiraling sixes which are connected to the woman's spirit, as it leaves her body. In the sky, there is a clock with the hand on the seven. This is a symbol of God, the sun, life's end. I wanted to draw attention to the figures eyes, making them larger and less "real". The girl's eyes are shut, the boy's are open, and the woman's are shut again. This symbolizes how often we pay attention to aging, and how little time we have to live.

One of my favorite moments in any zombie flick, is when the scramble for flesh is over, and the zombie finally gets to eat his precious meal!

Family Crest Color. SOLD

Some background variations on the Digital Family Crest project. This was a great idea for the Nordquist family. I think I'll make one for my name next.

Take Hold Church Logo

This design is for my brother's Church. The name "Take Hold" is inspired by Bible verses, 1st Timothy 6:12-14, and Philippians 3:12-14.

Giant Poachers. 20x30in framed. $150

The idea here, is that a couple men are trying to steal some eagle eggs.  The problem is the size of the eagles.

American Insect. $70

Pet Painting. SOLD

I recently painted someone's pets. I used a couple pictures for a reference, and painted them as cartoon characters. I tried to incorporate their individual personalities. Very fun to do.

Eco Hardship #1. $50

The idea is, there are so many people who are struggling to find work. The bills pile up, and it becomes difficult to find the money to pay the grabbing hands.  The medium is household bleach mixed with water, on toned paper.

The Fury. SOLD

The Fury is a digital comic, used as a promotional mailer for the band Bloated Otis. The storyline, of a curious anger, which grows with intensity, comes from the mind of Roger,(vocals/guitar) of Bloated Otis. The Fury is passed to the new host, who's violent actions make a larger splash than the last.
